To support the Inclusion, Capacities and Resilience Enhanced for the Forcibly Displaced People (I CARE for People) project, FRC is recruiting three dynamic Team Leaders.
Available Positions
Team Leader – Livelihoods & VSLA (Based in Ayilo, Adjumani)
Team Leader – CBO & Community Development, Social Cohesion (Based in Kyangwali, Kikuube)
Team Leader – Protection (Based in Kyaka II, Kyegegwa)
Contract Duration: January 2026 – December 2026, renewable annually through 2029
Reporting to: Project/Program Manager
Level: Mid-level management
Role Summary
Each Team Leader will supervise a multidisciplinary field team of 3–7 staff working in adult education, livelihood development, community strengthening, civic engagement, and protection.
You will oversee planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities while providing technical leadership within your area of specialization. The role also involves mentoring team members, coordinating with local authorities and partners, and ensuring that project activities are delivered with high quality and accountability.

How to Apply
1. Technical Support & Guidance (40%)
Offer technical leadership in project planning, delivery, and monitoring across literacy programs, livelihood training, leadership training, and organizational capacity-building.
Conduct field visits to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to field teams and management.
Share specialized knowledge with other Team Leaders and contribute to technical standard-setting.
Stay updated on trends and best practices in your specialization area—Livelihoods/VSLA, Social Cohesion & Community Development, or Protection.
2. Monitoring, Learning & Reporting (30%)
Work with M&E teams to strengthen quality assurance mechanisms.
Document lessons learned and promote organizational learning.
Support assessments, baselines, end-lines, and capacity analyses.
Analyze field data and encourage evidence-driven decision making.
Review and contribute to internal and external reporting requirements.
3. Program Development Support (15%)
Assist the Project Manager in refining implementation plans and M&E frameworks.
Collaborate with other FRC projects operating within the settlements.
Integrate cross-cutting themes such as gender, disability, HIV, resilience, and environmental sustainability.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy (15%)
Identify and engage key actors in the humanitarian and development sectors.
Build strong working relationships with community leaders, government agencies, NGOs, and networks.
Represent FRC in coordination meetings and technical working groups as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Team Leader – Livelihoods & VSLA
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, or related fields.
Demonstrated experience in VSLA/microfinance, enterprise development, group formation, and digital financial tools.
Team Leader – CBO & Community Development, Social Cohesion
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Social Work, Community/Rural Development, Development Studies, Public Administration, or related fields.
Experience in building CBO capacity, participatory community empowerment, conflict management, and knowledge of local community dynamics.
Team Leader – Protection
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Development Studies, or Social Sciences.
Experience supporting vulnerable groups (GBV survivors, people with disabilities), crisis response, gender/disability inclusion, resilience building, and referrals.
Additional Advantage: Diploma in Project Planning & Management.
Experience & Competencies
Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or middle-management role.
Proven experience designing and delivering training programs tailored to diverse learners.
Background in humanitarian or development work with NGOs (local or international).
Strong leadership, analytical, mentoring, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to support proposal development and strategic planning.
Knowledge of French, Kiswahili, Arabic, Nuer, Madi, or related languages is an added asset.
